Willow weaving is an ancient rural craft that was traditionally used to create hurdles to contain livestock and is incredibly versatile. We will be using a selection of willow wands to create either a pheasant, heron or chicken. Alternatively once the basic technique has been demonstrated you may wish to try and design something different. Each stage of the process will be demonstrated and help given to ensure you go home with a finished article to adorn your garden. No previous experience is necessary.
Complimentary tea, coffee and cake will be available and you might want to pop over to Thyme After Time Cafe afterwards for a spot of lunch. The French brocante Oakland Collectibles, Simply Cooking who sell homemade farmhouse dishes, together with plenty of free parking and loos on site.
